Christian Counselling based on the Bible
Online or in person

About me
Hi! My name is Dolores Springer. Let me tell you a bit about myself.
I was born in Ireland in 1961. In my 20s I moved to Germany where I lived for many years. That’s where I trained as a Biblical Counsellor at the Bibelseminar Bonn as a student in their 3 year “Coram Deo” program. Now I’m back in Ireland with my husband, children and grandchildren and I live in Longford.
.
My interest in biblical counselling has grown from my own personal experiences with God and the bible. Like everyone I’ve had my own hard times. I know what it feels like to be confused, anxious, lonely, depressed, hopeless, rejected, and all the other things that we go through as human beings. Jesus said “In the world you will have trouble but take heart because I have overcome the world”. You see, Jesus doesn’t promise to give us a troublefree life, but he does promise to help us find our way. He will help us to see ourselves and our situation through the lens of scripture and he will strengthen us to follow him.

Are you looking for christian counselling? God knows how we hurt and he cares! He is willing and able to help. Through the bible he shows us the way forward. I’ve experienced it myself and seen it many times. That’s why I became a Christian Counsellor. Whether you’re familiar with the bible or not, I’d love to help you discover it’s gems of wisdom and meet with Jesus himself, who speaks to us through it.
Why the Bible?
The bible is the foundation for biblical counselling. Did you know that it’s not actually one book but a collection of 66 books and letters that were written over a period of 1500 years?
We read about actual people who lived and went through much of the same struggles as we do. We read about rich and poor, oppressed and oppressors, about the brave and the anxious, the happy and the desperate. They were much more like us than different. We read about how God helped them and I would love to help you learn how you can also be helped.

What to expect
We start with a first meeting, in person or online. You don’t need to commit to anything at all yet and there’s no charge for this initial meeting. We’ll just have a chat about what’s on your mind and you can see if you feel comfortable with me.
If you decide to go ahead with counselling then we would plan weekly 50-60 minute sessions. At the end of the first six talks we’ll take stock of how it’s going, what’s helpful or less so, and you can decide if you’d like to continue.
Don’t worry! I’m not going to just throw bible verses at you or tell you to “get your act together”. Life is complicated. I know that. God knows that. I promise to take the time to get to know you and understand the ins and outs of what’s going on.
